This Cookies Policy explains how Nudge ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website at nudgedating.app and in our mobile application (collectively, the "Service"). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your browser or device when you visit. They allow the website to remember information about your visit. Similar technologies — including local storage, session storage, pixels, and software development kits ("SDKs") — perform comparable functions and are covered by this Policy.

2. Cookies on Our Website

Our website (nudgedating.app) is a small static site whose only purpose is to host our public information and legal policies. We do not use:

• Analytics cookies;
• Advertising or marketing cookies;
• Cross-site tracking cookies; or
• Third-party social-media pixels.

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may set strictly necessary cookies for security and to deliver the website, including cookies used to mitigate denial-of-service attacks and to maintain HTTPS. These cookies do not track you across sites.

3. Storage in Our Mobile Application

The Nudge mobile app does not use HTTP cookies. It does, however, use the following on-device technologies that perform similar functions:

• Secure session storage — to keep you logged in between launches.
• AsyncStorage — small pieces of data we store on your device to remember things like your in-progress signup, a stable device identifier we use to register for push notifications, and per-event flags that prevent duplicate notifications.
• Image caching — to make profile photos render quickly.

This information stays on your device and is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking. Uninstalling the app removes it.

4. Categories of Technology We Use

4.1 Strictly necessary

Required for the Service to function — for example, keeping you logged in, remembering your push-notification device ID, and ensuring secure delivery of content from our hosting provider. These cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.

4.2 Functional

Used to remember your preferences and resume in-progress flows (e.g., onboarding state). These are entirely on-device and are not shared with anyone else.

4.3 Analytics, advertising, and tracking

We do not currently use any cookies or similar technologies in these categories. If we add them in the future, we will update this Policy and, where required by law, request your consent before they are used.

5. Your Choices

5.1 Browser cookies

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Because our website does not use non-essential cookies, blocking cookies should not affect your experience here. Blocking strictly necessary security cookies set by Cloudflare may prevent the site from loading.

5.2 Mobile app

You can clear app data from your device settings, or uninstall the app, to remove on-device storage. You can also delete your account from the Profile tab to remove your information from our servers (subject to the limited retention exceptions in our Privacy Policy).

5.3 Do Not Track

Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" signal. Because we do not engage in cross-site tracking, our practices are unaffected by this signal.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes — including the introduction of new tracking technologies — we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where required by law, give you advance notice and a chance to opt in.
